Farage flattering C4 documentary tonight

To say it concentrated on puffing Farage is an understatement. I enjoyed it. It was good fun and clearly he has wowed the media to the extent that Yasmin Ali Baba seemed to be calling for the media to ration Farage's appearances. Farage clearly has her and her LibDem friends rattled.

The best bit was in Strasbourg with its huge plethora of unaccountable EU organisations which no one seems to understand what they do. The all seem to have plush new expensive offices. Farage did brilliantly exposing this.

All in all this was a huge boost for UKIP in the forthcoming European elections.

Farage v Clegg round 2

This will be chaired by leading EU lover Dimblebore plus audience packed with LibDems primed by the BBC with Farage destroying questions. I expect Farage's views he aired last week on Vlad the impaler will figure large. I can only offer Farage a joke from the US CPAC conference:
"Who's a worse president? Barack Obama, or Vladimir Putin?"
My favourite answer?
"Barack Obama should consider making Vladimir Putin his Defence Secretary".

Many a true word is spoken in jest.

Last time I felt Farage was pulling his punches. He should not hesitate to call Clegg a liar when he tells lies which happens all the time. A poll asked  what single word would you associate with political leaders. For Clegg the most popular response was liar. Its the way his eyes glisten with insincerity, just like Tony Blair that gets me.

I hope he goes in armed with loads of UK EU trade stats, immigration stats but his main pitch should be to wrap himself in the Union Jack sprinkled with  fairplay and appeal to the heart.

Just watched England being rolled over at cricket by the Dutch. Is this a bad omen given Clegg is half Dutch?

I expect there will be a planted question on a totally new topic that will be difficult for Farage to handle. Clegg will of course have been tipped off about this question. That's the BBC's idea of fair play.

Who will be UKIP's next leader?

It is now clear the Beeb media are cooking up something career terminating for Nigel. What it is and when it will come they are keeping under close wraps. When it happens UKIP is going to need a new clean leader pronto so not to soon to consider the options.

Nigel has eased out all people of real talent in UKIP as he perceived them as a threat to his position. There is a dearth of talent in the cabal and they will probably also be unclean and too closely tied to Farage. The shocking fact is that much of the best leadership talent for UKIP has been kicked out of the party by the cabal sycophants. What's left, Nuttall and Crowther simply will not cut the mustard. Remember what happened last time with Pearson a man Farage endorsed as leader who then admitted on national TV he did not know what was in the Bannerman written UKIP general election maniifesto.

I give you 3 people who would do a good job as leader, deputy leader and communications director.

Chris Pain, a proven election winner, a good guy kicked out of UKIP by Farage's cabal.

Del Young, a long term UKIP activist originally from St Vincents and the most politically perceptive person I have met in UKIP but kicked out by Nuttall.

Patrick O'Flynn the new kid on the block, former Daily Express journo, well educated, articulate, intelligent and pleasant.

What no wimmin? Not for leader etc but Diane James and Suzanne Evans should be given  high profile positions and lots of TV exposure. Its a given that UKIP will do very well in the coming Europeans so the BBC will have to give UKIP miuch higher presence on QT, Daily Politics etc for which these ladies are well suited. I don't think they are Maggie Thatchers quite yet. Women like Jill Seymour and Lisa Duffy should be kept in their box and off the TV and Radio as much as possible.

Its time to let the UKIP dinosaurs fade into extinction and let Mr Farage go off to head his lucrative right wing pan-European party in Brussels.

Nikki on the Daily Politics

Nikki got a really hard time from AN  on today's show. What is going on? AN dd not want to hear about Nigel's alliances with the nasty mid-European fascist parties in Brussels. He accused Nikki of being a bad loser and worse of being right wing! If that were true Farage would adore her. Nikki is left wing! AN's researchers must know this so why did AN use it? There is something going on. The Beeb are bigging up Farage to knock him flat. But when and how?

Farage Clegg revisited

I was so upset at Andy suffering again from poor umpiring last night I had to curtail my blogg.

UKIP's big winning topic is clearly immigration. I wanted to run this as UKIP's number one issue in 2009. The late Malcolm Wood, Farage's presence in the South West vetoed it as it was BNP's big issue. Farage was, and still is, terrified of the connotatins of racism  attached to the BNP. Eventually the media have now conceded its not racist to talk about immigration so Farage has tackled it to UKIP's advantage aided by the disintegration of the BNP. Farage should be embolden by his success with this topic last night. Clegg will try to confuse the issue next time with his usual recital of dodgy statistics. Farage needs to get and master some stats himself to rebut Clegg's lies.

The most interesting facet of last night's  after debate discussion was how most of the media thought Clegg had one. The You Gov poll gave the electorate's view Farage 57%, Clegg 36% Don't know 7%. That did not stop the EU loving media pumping out numerous EU biased vox pops. The don't like facts they like opinions however ill founded but as Alan Sugar says, opinions are like arseholes, everyone has got one.

The London based media and the Westminster politicians have a profoundly undemocratic symbiotic relationship. They both need each other for their bread and butter. I used to be privy to Alastair Campbell's lobby briefings around the time of the dodgy dossier. The 6:00 news political correspondents spewed out Campbell's words verbatim as claimed exclusives. If they crossed Campbell their invite to the cosy briefings would be withdrawn and their sacking would follow. Who wants a political correspondent that Campbell starves of stories?

Jacky Smith picked up on this at 10:30 pm on Sky but she saw it as a big problem for the old political parties. It certainly is but its worse for Joe Public who speaks for him?

Don't be conned by programmes like QT where questions purportedly come from the audience. Its a heavily pre-screened audience selected to represent the BBC agenda. Then when you arrive at the venue you are asked to submit your question in writing. The BBC production team then select the questions that suit their agenda. Dimbleby is instructed who to take supplementary questions from, black faces and more important who not to take questions from, white faces. The questions selected are also media type questions that the politicians are used to.

Where politicians come unstuck is where they have to take random questions direct from an intelligent audience. These will be non-media type questions that politicians are unused to. Look at how G Brown came unstuck against Mrs Duffy at the last election. One of the social media types gave sound advice when looking at Twitter last night. Ignore everything from party spin meisters, around 95% of the posts, and look at the residual 5% from real people.

UKIP of course are up to the same tricks. I remember going to one of their leadership hustings where all the questions had to be pre-submitted and those selected by Farage placemen put to the candidates so where is democratic debate in UKIP?  Stone dead!

I weep for our country.

Farage Clegg LBC debate

Like many I watched the TV debate. I thought the moderator somewhat favoured Clegg. The You Gov  post debate poll gave it 57% to Farage. That was not good enough for the media who had to produce their biased unscientific vox pops.

Clegg came across as a typical Westminister smarmy politician full of weasel words and dodgy statistics.

Farage did well I thought but he missed a couple of points. One the Clegg line we will have a EU referendum when there ws further significant transfers iof power to Brussels. Note the weasel word 'significant'. Who says what is significant? A question Farage shoul have put. He almost got there when he pointed out the process of power transfer was continuous.

The second point related to the House of Commons library estimate that only 7% of our laws were made by Brussels. Who asked the question? How did they arrive at that figure? What demarcation    lines were used?

Farage did well but he did not put the ball into the net.

I however thought Farage was brave and right to say the EU had blood on its hands over the Ukraine situation. He is absolutely right and I was proud he said so.

UKIP can learn how to run a political party from the SNP

On my recent trip to Scotland I was mightily impressed with the professionalism and organisation of the SNP. I called in at their headquarters which was a hive of well organised activity. No freak show there. They have almost achieved their goal. They have their in/out referendum and now they are focussed single mindedly on securing a vote to leave the UK in September.

They are out tramping the streets, knocking on doors and doing the hard graft. They deserve to succeed. They are all Indians. Not for them the soft life of the TV studios, the free booze in green room the flatttery and adulayion of the London media that Farage loves.

I do not know if Scotland will vote to leave the UK. I hope they do. England is in a huge mess of their own making with immigrationn out of control, a class riven educational system and a looming banking crisis following the coming bust in Londo house prices.

The London political elites fud campaign is failing in Scotland. Mr Badger Darling is a disaster. Alec has not had to do anything. His ammo is still unused. He turns the oppostions initiatives to his advantage.

UKIP staggers on with its freak show. Sure they will do well in the Europeans but this will be trhrough no merit of their own but rather the current disillusionment with LibLabCon and the EU. Ukraine has shown how impotent Rumpy, Frumpy and Barroso  are. Farage will no doubt make great sport of their discomfort in the theatre of the absurd that is the European parliament. They appreciate freak shows there.

Farage has been talking about how he is professionalising UKIP for at least 10 years. It has not happened as Bloom, Fuller etc prove. It will not and cannot happen whilst the Farage cabal rules UKIP. Meanwhile the ordinary UKIP  members who do the hard graft are villified and mocked by their leaders in the brasseries of Brussels and Strasbourg. Pigeons will come home to roost  and shit on the Cabal.

I gather the political pundits expect Clegg to win his debate with Farage. They have picked up on what Del and I often noticed. Farage is a soundbite. As soon as tthe debate goes past line one Farage flounders. UKIP has cornered the market in village idiots for many of its MEP candidates. Clegg won't be short of idiotic remarks from this source to use in the debate.   Its the gift that keeps on giving to the LibDems.

When is your next visit to Scotland Mr Farage?

I returned last night from a wet and windy Edinburgh where I was also deluged with requests from Scot Nats for Mr Farage to visit Scotland once more. Their view was his visits were vastly entertaining being locked in a pub etc but also did wonders for the SNP vote. Farage is exactly the sort of Southern English type the Scots love to hate.

In the words of the old Scots song,

"Will ye no come back again, will ye no comeback again
Better loved you canna be
Will ye no come back again"

The latest poll shows the SNP vote up to 40%. A couple more visits from Nigel should do it for wee Alec . Cameron of course is also doing his bit for the SNP cause along with Red Ed and Clegg the stranger to the  truth. The Scots just love the London metropolitan elite.

Big business is also doing its bit with the CEO of BAe today warning about the effect a \yes vote could have on Royal Navy shipbuilding on the Clyde. As one of the SNP remarked I guess they will now have all their warships built in Korea. Its a bit further away than Glasgow but the Ministry of Defence in Whitehall neither know nor care.

I was able to buy a copy of the best newspaper in Scotland, the Glasgow Herald. Their headline on one of Gideons cunning plans was headlined "Freeze on whisky tax viewed as bid to win No votes". Maybe a Mr Badger (aka A Darling)  idea?

The EU are also doing their bit for the SNP. Barroso comparing Scotland to Kosovo and native Scot on the gravy train Struan Stevenson Tory MEP linking Scotland with accession states like Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia.

If Scotland leaves the UK then the UK, set up by the Act of Union 1707 ceases to exist. England is not the UK so it will have to be granted fast track status back into the EU. Now some constititutional lawyers might see that as a significant treaty change with the EU requiring an English referendum. Think on that Mr F before mouthing off about the Scots referendum.

Annabelle has Farage by the balls

I use the above title as a political metaphor and do not imply Annabelle has ever physically handled Farage's gonads. Fuller knows where all the skeletons are in Nigel's big cupboard and also where the many bodies are buried.

When on the NEC in 2008 when following the John West affair and the criticism of Fuller it generated, Whitaker, then UKIP chairman, wrote a letter assuring us that Fuller's involvement with UKIP was at an end. She eventually set up some sort of PR firm which helped by Farage's influenced let her  once more be involved at the heart of UKIP. We expected no less of Farage given how beholden he is to Fuller for political services rendered.

Annabelle has a tale to tell that the red tops would pay much gold for. Eventually money will triumph and the story will become public. Nigel will not be able  to keep her silent. The value of her tale is on the rise right now as Farage's star waxes. It will max out after the Europeans and before the 2015 General Election.

Nigel will have to keep Annabelle very, very sweet. Rather him than me.

Farage post 22nd May part II

What are Farage's ambitions post 22nd May? Clearly getting the UK out of the EU will not figure on Nigel's to do list. His first priority will be to secure his seat on the red leather as Lord Farage of the  EU gravy train. Cameron will gratify this ambition if Nigel is a good boy.

Then he will wish to establish himself as leader of the right wing pan European party which will probably have in total 100 or so MEPs. This sort of position will bring much gold to Farage's IOM account and will increase his pension hugely. Nigel will be rolling in it.

Politically Nigel like Boris is bomb proof. Ordinary people love them because they are 'characters' they can relate to compared to the plastic interchangeable LibLabDem ex spads who would fit seamlesssly into Labour, Tory or Lib Dem parties. Their inner content is best summed up by a joke.

Three surgeons are discussing who makes the best patients to operate on. One says accountants, you open them up and everything is numbered. Another says electricians, you open them up and everything is colour coded. The last says you are both wrong, politicians make the best patients. You open them up and there is nothing there, no guts, no backbone nothing. Just a mouth and an arsehole and they are interchangeable!

That's what will be there if open up Cameron, Clegg or Milliband but what about Farage and Bojo? Answers please in my unmoderated comments box.

Public opinion is fickle. Today's good egg and character is tomorrow's idiot and will be shunned by all. BoJo has some talent which may see him through but it is difficult to see a man whose main props are beer and fags surviving.

Monday 17 March 2014

So what will Farage do in Europe post 22 May?

Let us suppose UKIP has a brilliant result on 22 May and wins 35 MEPs, more than Labour, more than the Tories and mre than the Lib Dems who may only have 5 or so MEPs left. Then Farage has to get into bed with parties from other EU countries. That's the way the clever Eurocrats have set things up to turn us all, even NF, to be good citizens of the EU. How do they do that. Easy peasy , they bribe our political elite with our own money. If you join a pan national group you get more money and for the national party leaders its a huge amount. Its a system deliberately set up to reward the national political elites for obeying the Eurocrats in the EU commission. It works brilliantly.

So which way will NF go? He will follow the money, that is money for Nigel and the cabal. That will bring UKIP into political alliance with some very unsavoury right wing mid European groupings like Liga Nord, Free Finns etc. The LibLab UK media will have a field day hanging UKIP out to dry. Like last time Farage's MEP army will start to desert from day one and his new professional party will revert to its previous shambles just in time for the June 2015 General Election in which UKIP will win nil seats. Farage will keep his word and resign, write his memoirs and enjoy his huge EU pension. All of us who worked for UKIP to get us out of the EU will have been well and truely shafted. UKIP will stagger on but its chance to achieve something fo us in the UK will have gone pissed away by Farage and the cabal in the restaurants and flesh pots of Brussels.

Farage gets another easy time from Andrew Neil. What is going on?

On a weekend when the Daily Mail ran the story below all Neil could come up with was patsy interview worthy of Marr.

I did employ my wife but she's off the pay roll in May, says Ukip's Nigel Farage who claims to work harder even than the PM

  • Ukip leader has denied claims he had both his wife and 'mistress' on his Brussels payroll
  • He conceded today that if he had it would 'probably be a resigning matter'
  • He and Annabelle Fuller vigorously deny affair claims

Something is going on but what? Why did Andrew Neil not put the direct question to Farage concerning his relationship with Annabele Fuller. Let Farage deny  it but then its on record.

Then in our local West country part William Legge, Old Etonian, gave an abysmal performance and was trounced by Lib Dem Graham Watson. Even the Tories are getting cold feet about Old Etonians but UKIP has one who is also an aristo. Talk about being out of touch with ordinary people.

I still think the Beeb are bigging Farage up to knock him down. Neil did get it on record Farage stating he would resign post 2015 General Election if UKIP did not get an MP. Job done for those of us who feel UKIP can never deliver us from the EU whilst Farage controls it.

Friday 14 March 2014

Its any cover up that is the real danger for Farage

It was the cover up that finished Huhne and long before that Nixon. Politicians are used to getting away with telling porkies however if these are found out and proven false then its usually terminal for their political career. UKIP's problem is that its future is inextricably linked with Farage's future. It is a one man band and the man is under severe attack by the media. The British media's favourite tactic is to build someone up so they can knock them down. This is what is now going on with Farage and it is a process that will run and run.

I never met Annabelle Fuller. She floated in and out of the NEC in 2008 as if by right. She was certainly extremely close to Farage and was undoubtedly protected by Farage over the loss of the laptop with confidential interviews and the cock and bull story she gave to Whittaker about how the taxi driver in whose cab she claimed to have left it returned it to her at her flat 2 to 3 days later. Taxi drivers are required to hand in property left in their cab to the police within 24 hours. She claimed the cabbie had found her address by reading files on her computer and that he therefore could have been the person who posted the confidential John Wesr interview on Youtube for all to see. There must have been 100 interviews on that laptop so why did the cabbie select John West's. John West was certainly giving Nigel Farage some problems at the time over selections for the Eastern region UKIP MEP slate.

Then there is the story of Kirsten Farage unsuccesfully searching HMS Belfast from stem to stern for AF at a UKIP fundraiser paid for by Jill Seymour's wealthry husband. La Seymour is now UKIP's no 1 candidate on the West Midlands slate a posiotion occupied last time by Natrass.

The person who would know most is good old Godders Bloom who shared a flat with NF in Brussels and the attendees at the regular EU financed gadflies boozy meal. In vino veritas and also in the plant pots.

This is the sort of story that brings out the best of UK investigative jounalism, particularly the Sun & Daily Mail plus of course the dear old Beeb. I hope for UKIP's sake Farage has been telling the whole truth.

UKIP's Farage strategy starts to unravel

UKIP put all their eggs in the Farage basket. I remember Sausages Gill ex Tory MP telling me how wonderful Farage was but as a BoE old hand I knew the importance of hedging your bets. Egged on by the likes of Gill and the Farage worshipping, self seeking cabal UKIP have not hedged their position. If Farage goes then so does UKIP and all the poor shafted members of UKIP go as well.

The media including the BBC know this are moving in for the kill. Hence the Farage and Annabelle Fuller story was a main item on last nights 10 pm news. The Daily Mail kept the story running today as did the Daily Telegraph and the Times. Farage has denied he had an affair with Fuller but its the Sun jounos he should be worried about. They will be out waving their cheque book to break Farage's story if they can. They usually succeed.

UKIP members have been conned and believe Farage can walk on water. They are going to find out soon he can't. The denoument may come during the Clegg debate with some interesting info finding its way to the Clegg camp.

Annabelle Fuller named by Nikki Sinclare in European Parliament

On 11th Dec 2009 I published the letter below from NEC member Del Young to then UKIP chairman John Whittaker concerning the unacceptable activities of Annabelle Fuller in relation to a confidential UKIP candidate test interview of a potential UKIP MEP candidate, John West, which subsequently appeared in the public domain on the internet with the sneering headline, "How not to do politics". As a result of Del's letter and subsequent discussions we were told by Whittaker that Annabelle Fuller's links to UKIP would be severed. That clearly did not happen. The Telegraph reports she returned to UKIP last year. Click below to read  the report: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/ukip/10692247/Nigel-Farage-employs-both-his-wife-and-mistress-at-public-expense.html

In the report Farage denies he ever had an affair with Miss Fuller. So who is tellling the truth Ms Sinclare or Mr Farage? The UK electorate are entitled to know.

For the record, and with Del's agreement I publish below an email Del sent to John Whitaker copy to the whole NEC concerning John West's treatment by UKIP. It speaks for itself.

"Date: Saturday, 26 July, 2008, 16:52

Saturday 26 July 2008
Dear Mr. Whitaker,
First of all let me say that I can sympathise with the fact that a stupid, selfish and destructive action concerning the posting of John West’s MEP media interview on YouTube by Annabelle Fuller has put you in a difficult position.
When the actions of others put us in difficult positions it can be highly frustrating, however given the circumstantial evidence that there is a 99% chance that this video was indeed posted by Miss Fuller, from your email I get the impression that you have not spoken to Miss Fuller indepth regarding this matter.
Instead you have chosen to email the National Executive of the party a fanciful story from Miss Fuller, which is hugely insulting to what little intelligence I possess.
Not only is it damaging to Mr. West that this video has been leaked, it is potentially far more damaging to the party that this video and Miss Fullers Comments – “UKIP are the Eurosceptic nutters” etc. - have ended up in the public domain, and indeed I believe it was posted for a time on the BNP website for god’s sake.
The leader and his disciples have always accused innocent hard working activists of doing things to damage the party and yet one of his most protected confidants has done immense damage to the party with her vengeful, spiteful actions.
As the Chairman of the party and NEC, your first loyalty should be to the best interests of the party and the cause for which we fight, but increasingly over the years you and the majority of NEC members seem to have put loyalty to the leader ahead of the interests of the members, the party and our cause.
As an NEC member I have a duty to work with the elected leader of the party to take our cause forward, but I do not owe that duty blindly and unquestioningly – I have to balance what help or support I give to our leader with the best interests of the party, its members and our objectives.
It has been an open secret within the party that Miss Fuller was under the protection of the party leader and that is why on many occasions Miss Fuller has written things on internet forums that were hugely offensive to members, including certain NEC members and yet no action has ever been taken against her.
Indeed there was a particular series of postings on an internet forum regarding Tom Wise & Roger Knapman a year or two ago by an individual and Miss Fuller which caused some concern to me in so much that this individual and Miss Fuller must have had first hand and unrestricted knowledge of the matter.
At that time I raised my concerns to the NEC and they were minuted regarding persons in the press office having access to information of a sensitive nature and not handling it with confidentiality and care.
I later found out that the person in question was Miss Fullers partner and I was assured by Clive Page that Miss Fuller would not make any future postings and that she had been warned about her behaviour.
Yet after a couple of months Miss Fuller was once again posting on Internet forums commenting in ways unbecoming of a professional member of this party.
Indeed she stated on the Independence and Democracy forum that she is not answerable to the party, instead claiming that she reported to someone in the European parliament and yet it seems she has open licence to abuse UKIP’s name, members and NEC.
If Miss Fuller chooses to resign from whatever positions she holds or indeed from the party before a disciplinary hearing can be arranged, if that is deemed appropriate, there is little that you can do.
However I still believe you should have had a meeting with Miss Fuller to establish all the facts in this matter and prepared a report for the NEC to consider, at the specially convened meeting Eric Edmonds requested and any response to the wider members then agreed by the NEC, instead of this Hollywood fantasy involving a taxi driver and a mysterious computer specialist - I did not realise Stephen Spielberg had joined the party!
Miss Fuller’s actions have left the party with a potentially very large can of legal worms and a high risk of financial liability, I understand that Mr. West has now engaged lawyers and intends to sue the party, as it was UKIP that was responsible under the data protection act and not Miss Fuller.
I would also like to point out that all members of the NEC are liable and responsible for any financial liabilities of the party.
I also believe that the police will be interviewing Mr. West in the near future with a view to launching an investigation and that the information commissioner to whom this matter has been reported may also conduct an investigation, which may lead to the party receiving a sizeable fine.
So you see Mr. Whitaker, Miss Fuller may have walked off into the sunset, whilst we are left to face the music and the possibility of picking up a number of huge bills and your email has done very little to help matters and gives the impression we are running for political numpties of the year award (hotly contested with Gordon Brown I believe).
I suspect that this may not be the last we see of Miss Fuller with regards to UKIP and the InDem group and their activities, I rather suspect that she will be employed by someone connected to UKIP or as a consultant in the 2009 campaign and hence again given the right to apparently speak on behalf of the party.
What has happened to Mr. West has been totally hurtful, unprofessional and hugely unacceptable on all levels, however sometimes we cannot control what happens to us, but we can manage the effects of what happens to us.
As an NEC member I want to work with you and the other members of the NEC in managing this very fine mess once again, created by someone under the protection of the party leader.
Firstly I would respectfully suggest that you write a letter on behalf of yourself and the NEC unreservedly apologising to Mr. West and call an extraordinary NEC meeting as requested by Eric Edmonds so that we can work through and manage where possible, repair where we can, apologise where we must and ensure that the party does not find itself in this position again.
There is an increasingly distasteful pattern appearing in the party, that when party members raise concerns or lodge complaints, they are treated with disdain, contempt and viciousness and in some cases are openly attacked or have lies told about them.
There also seems to be a general refusal to investigate complaints, which in turn leads to further dissatisfaction and trouble that could have been avoided in the first place.
Dr. David Abbott stressed at the NEC meeting in July that we really need to investigate John West’s and others complaints, because failure to do so upsets the activists and rubs the members up the wrong way, sadly his request as per usual appears to have fallen on deaf ears.
Mr. Whitaker you are a very intelligent man and I know you are better than this.
Loyalty to our leader is admirable and should be encouraged, but that loyalty cannot take precedence over the interests of the members and our cause, if the leader is hell-bent on taking us down a very narrow political dead end, there is no good to come from us ignoring the signs and pretending that we cannot see the dangers that lie ahead – it is our duty to advise the leader that he must change direction – this is not disloyal, this is common sense.
At the NEC meeting in June I tried to point out to our leader some of things he needs to change and some of the things that he needs to change, including certain personnel, to get the party back on the right road but this also fell on deaf ears.
We need to have a clear functional and effective strategy, working closely with our branches and our activists in moving forward and growing the party, as our hardest task is to educate the British people on the dangers of the Political EU.
Simply concentrating on returning as many MEP’s as possible in 2009, whilst maybe being admirable and right is not a wholesale or effective strategy for achieving what we must achieve in the UK .
One does not have to like the messenger, but it does help on the odd occasion to listen to the message.
Please call an extraordinary NEC meeting for early in August so that as an NEC we can ask the relevant questions and uniformly manage this mess.
The NEC needs to get back and manage this party as laid down in the constitution, as there are far too many individuals or little groups who are unaccountable to the NEC and yet are making decisions or taking actions whilst being given licence and protection by the leader to use UKIP’s name, sometimes causing damage to the party’s name or members, whilst the NEC is responsible and liable for any recriminations.
It is time for us to stop being the see no evil, hear no evil, but do much evil club.
I have no doubt I will be branded mal-content or trouble maker etc. as usual, however I can assure you that I have just one agenda, and that is to save this country from the political EU and to make this party as strong and effective as it can be to achieve that aim.
Yours truly,
Del

The culture in Farage's UKIP has not changed and was captured today in a Daily Mail description of what is going on in UKIP's new election HQ in Mayfair. Click link to read.

The culture of any organisation is set by the man at the top and his close associates.

Mrs Farage is quoted as describing the office atmosphere thus, "a freakshow"

Clearly this office is completely out of control. Is this Farage's idea of the  professional party he boasts at having created?

The Mail quotes UKIP quotes Ukip director of communications Patrick O'Flynn thus: 'I have been in post since the start of February and I have been hugely impressed with the professionalism and dedication of staff at Brooks Mews.
'The Times clearly would prefer Ukip to do very badly at the forthcoming local and European elections. But everyone at Brooks Mews is working flat out to ensure that the opposite occurs. Given the positive response Ukip is getting from the British public, we are very hopeful of achieving an excellent result.'

Its a joke party that is letting down the decent UKIP members hugely. They deserve better than this.

The Times is now gunning for UKIP

I only get the Times when Waitrose gives me one for free. Today's had 3 full pages demolishing Farage and UKIP wriiten by two of their very best journalists Rachel Sylvester and Alice Thomson. The Times does not allow free internet access but the main headings gives the flavour with Farage labelled Toad of Toad Hall.

"Insiders reveal how party is run by the cult of one personality", Rupert is pinching my lines!

"He looks like a 1950s insurance salesman"

"UKIP is hinged on  Nigel's very commplicated personal life. There is very little room to professionalise anything. There are skeletons in his closet. Nigel is dragging Highgate Cemetery behind him."

A former member of the NEC, not me although I agree with this comment,

"I feel that Nigel is the absolute dictator. He keeps himself surrounded by people who are fairly weak and willl bow to his foreceful personality. In UKIP you are either with Nigel or you are out"

How true

Alan Sked is quoted , " Everyone thinks he is a nice character but he's a complete disaster - intellectuallly and morally. He say he is worried about fruitcakes but I think he's one himself. He's turned UKIP into his own fiefdom"

Nigel isn't very bright. When he was a candidate for Salisbury , I used to get letters saying, " I am glad your candidate (Farage) believes in education but until he learns to spell I am not going to vote for him"

And it goes on and on with the same I have made for years but this the Times and Murdoch. Farage has made a serious, vindicitive and powerful enemy.

No to EU – Yes to Democracy

I liked and admired Bob Crow who died today. He represented his members brilliantly. He was true to his cause and he wanted us out of the EU. I reproduce Wikipedia on his 2009 campaign below.

No to EU – Yes to DemocracyIn March 2009, Crow announced that the RMT would be fronting the No to EU – Yes to Democracy platform with an array of socialist organisations and individuals for the 2009 European Parliament elections. No2EU — Yes to Democracy stood for a Europe of "independent, democratic states that value its public services and does not offer them to profiteers; a Europe that guarantees the rights of workers and does not put the interests of big business above that of ordinary people".

As the party leader and lead candidate in London has said, Crow was "not against workers coming into the country", unlike other Eurosceptic groupings, but he is against "two workers from different countries competing against each other on different rates of pay" and added that "Our main role will be out there among working people, giving them our support and helping to save their industries from privatisation".
No2EU secured 153,236 votes, compared to an RMT membership of 80,000. The party achieved 1% of the popular vote in Britain, giving them the 12th largest share of the vote, behind Scargill's Socialist Labour Party and the far-right British National Party. This was insufficient for a seat in the European Parliament.[20] In London, where Crow was a candidate, the party secured 17,758 votes, equating to the tenth largest share of the vote. In this region, No2EU secured a larger share of the popular vote than the Socialist Labour Party.[21]

He was the sort of guy who would have been a great asset to UKIP but of course the egocentric Farage could never have tolerated a talent in the party so much bigger than his own. Crow could have delivered a huge working class vote for UKIP but his price would have been the expulsion of old Tories like Hamilton, Helmer and the whole of Farage's cabal.

That is why UKIP can never get us out of the EU. It has to be a broad based party not a cult. As long as UKIP remains a Farage personality cult it will fail to worry the political elite of the UK & EU

Murdoch press smears UKIP very professionally

I guess its a case of he who lives by the smear dies by the smear and Rupert does not like or want Farage. Rupert is a man of sound judgement. You don't build up a media empire like his without real talent.

Many are old stories like UKIP asks their MEPs to contribute £10k each to party funds. This ran in the Times as infringing EU rules. It does not provided it comes from their large MEP salary.

Then in yesterday's Sunday Times we have,

It’s “Carry On politics”, according to one former member of staff. Nigel Farage is trying to tighten up the operation of his party but insiders say that it is “impossible to professionalise the Kippers”.
Even Kirsten Farage, the leader’s wife, has admitted to colleagues that it is a “work environment that takes some getting used to” and described the Ukip operation, privately, as a freak show.

Where is Annabelle these days?
Another from the Times,

They call it the Gadfly Dinner. The wine flows freely when Nigel Farage and his MEPs hit Strasbourg once a month. The get-together, which takes place during the European Parliament’s regular sessions in the city, is usually held atPierre-Bois et Feu, a restaurant described as “classique” in the Michelin Guide. It has become such a tradition that men are required to wear a special tie
Farage books the whole restaurant and the wine flows as a tribute to Cameron's gadflies and cranks comment on UKIP.
Finally from the Times of 10th March:
Fringe parties rarely matter in British politics. Small parties find it hard to break through an electoral system that gives them no help. For many years the United Kingdom Independence Party (Ukip) has been in that category but it is no longer. The time has arrived to take Ukip seriously and it is already clear that Ukip will not come out of the encounter well.
Farage better remember this is Rupert Murdoch who always wins. The salacious stuff will come in the Sun.
Max Clifford is currently on personal business in Southwark crown court so he wont br available for Mr Farage. That leaves Gawain if the Green Knight is not giving him too much trouble.
Looks like a typical Farage set up.

LibDems go on the offensive against Farage and the Tories

They have not got much to lose. He who is down needs fear no fall as we used to sing at school on the morning of the Higher Maths exam. A recent poll asked its respondents to summarise Clegg in one word. The overwhelming response was "Liar". His broken pledge to the students will not be forgotten.

He was on the radio saying how wonderful the EU was for him with his Dutch mother, Spanish wife, housekeeper, nanny and gardner and previous Brussels EU career. A bit like Downton Abbey. But like the Crawleys the money comes from his rich Spanish wife. Its good to know Clegg is so in touch with the ordinary people of the UK.

I do hope in 2015 Red Ed wipes out this sordid party and the Old Etonian party as well.

The Cabal is peddling its old BNP lies. I do wish they would put their names to these lies. I could do with a lucrative libel action.

It was two to one on the AN show that Clegg will trounce Farage in their forthcoming debate. I am looking forward to it. As Oscar Wilde might have said its the unspeakable debating with the contemptible.

Youth of Europe, In the EU out of work

Exceptions are MEPs, Spads and Germans. I came across this interesting message by negating a leaked LibDem briefing note for this June's election. Tim Congdon has a copy. Ask to go on his mailing list, timcongdon@btconnect.com and I am sure he will send you a copy. Tim's monthly email is a good read if you can plough through the heavy duty but accurate economics.

The Lib Dem document shows what a well organised political machine the Lib Dems are. What comes across is how imprtant postal votes are and how good the LibDems are at getting them in early before the campaign gets up and running. That is how they won at Eastleigh. Another week of campaigning and UKIP would have had its first MP. UKIP had an open goal but because the manger, ashen faced Nobby Farage, had not trained his team well and they could not put the ball into the net when it mattered. Chances like Eastleigh with a criminally convicted Lib Dem exMP don't come along that often.

This Lib Dem campaign briefing is a much needed tutorial for Mr Crowther on how to campaign.
A few choice points:

There are very few LibDem/UKIP wavers which is why I did not include LibDems in my tweet @NortonSubHamdon. Folllow me to get all my tweets.

UKIP voters are evangelical  and attacks based on the corruption of their MEPs have little impact.

UKIP voters care much more about Europe and immigration and much less about traditional ie LibLab Con issues. The document having waxed lyrical on wonderful LibDem virtues goes on to say even LibDem supporters are concerned about immigration. The conclusion is clear to anyone with a modicum of common sense planning a UKIP campaign but this eliminates most of the cabal.

Then of course we have the tired old 3 million UK jobs at risk if we leave the EU. Tell that to the unemployed youth of Club Med and France who are invading the UK to get jobs outside the Euro, the EU elites invention and instrument of slavery.

The most evil part of the brief is an exhortation to 'work the postal vote' ie get their votes before the voters have heard the full debate and this from a party that has democracy in its title!

My advice to UKIP supporters is when the LibDems come calling tell them you usually vote Tory but admire the work of the coalition. Keep them talking, offer them coffee (not if you have a picture of NF on your wall) and try to waste their time as much as possiible. On polling day they may come round knocking you up to vote in which case say you have already voted and engage them in as long a connversation as possible. LibDems love the sound of their own voices.

Big business speaks only for itself

One of the most iniquitous parts of the Scottish independence debate is the rapidity with which multi-nationals say they will consider leaving Scotland if the Scots population, their workforce, has the temerity to vote to leave the UK.

Such businessmen speak only for themselves and their companies profits. They have no interest in the well being or happiness of the Scottish population as a whole. It is pure self interest from the fat cats.

But is it even relevant? If Scotland voted to remain in the UK these same companies could up sticks and relocate the day after the vote to other regimes where they can make higher profits, usually by paying their workers less and paying less tax. Yet these people are given huge amounts of TV time by the London based media which also has no interest in the welfare of the Scottish people.

I watched Niall Ferguson's outstanding programme on how the First World War started. He used a few well chosen statistics. One I did not know was that the percentage of the Scots killed and maimed in WWI was much higher than in England. I knew that was true of the ANZAC forces but not of the Scottish regiments. That alone is a strong reason for Scotland to leave the UK.

Worse was the way the British Liberal party political elite, Asquith (Balliol), Grey ( Balliol) & Churchill (Harrow). Although Llyod George came in as an articled clerk and son of a schoolmaster he was the one person who could have stopped the deployment of the BEF. He did not for pure party political reasons. It would have brought down the Liberal government and probaly brought the Tories to power in the subsequent election. Over a million UK citizens died to keep Llyod George's bum on a cabinet seat. The order of priorities for politicains does not change, me first, keep the opposition out second and who cares about the country.

Ferguson's telling counterfactual was that if we had kept out of WWI we would now be living in a Europe no different from today's EU and ruled by Germany as we have now.

Wars cannot stop the tide of history they only get more people killed more quickly.

Roll on Scottish independence.

Farage the skeleton hunter General

That's the message in today's Daily Mail article:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2571644/Own-skeletons-cupboards-says-Farage-UKIP-force-candidates-sign-charter-saying-not-extremists.html?login

Its a typical piece of I can do what I want and have who I like undemocratic system that the EU would be proud of and Mr Farage loves.

One quote summarises:

Other stipulations include: 'I have never been a member of or had links with any organisation, group or association which the national executive committee considers is liable to bring the party into disrepute'.

The NEC is completely controlled by Farage. In my days people like MEP candidate Jill Seymour were plain scared of Farage and could not cope with his basilisk Medusa  stare.

So it boils down to carte blanche for Farage to have whohe wants as MEP candidates.

Democracy does not exist in UKIP. Branches who want their own local candidate are simply overuled in favour of Andreasen types.

EUKIP Is not a political party its Nigel Farages fiefdom..

Ukraine shows the dangers of a multi lingual country

Bismark rightly said at the end of the 19th century that the 20th century would be dominated by the USA and UK because they spoke the same language, One of Ukraine's weaknesses is that around 50% speak Russian and the rest Ukrainian. Put that with the west of Ukraine in some cases fighting with Hitler in WWII and the loss of 30 million Russians in WWII and it looks like Northern Ireland times 100. Russia wil annex Crimea plus the Eastern Ukraine.

It is not impossible as the Swiss have shown to have more than one official language in a country but it does make outbreaks of social unrest between linguistic groups more likely. Put this along with a recent history of war between lingustic groups as in Spain and social unrest will fester.

It gives the lie to the EU line that it has brought peace to Western Europe. The EU is a tower of Babel with the French hating the Germans, the Croats  hating the Serbs etc. Hitler used the defence of German speaking minorities in other European contries to justfy his European invasions. The UK fought a war over Jenkin's ear. The Yanks are always mounting invasions to protect US citizens and interests. Putin is simply following a well trodden path.

What can the EU do about the Ukraine? Zilch just like the USA. It was the Red Army that defeated Hitler and they will see off Merkel and her EU chums if they interfere. I pray we stay out of it. We had to hand back Hong Kong island to China when they threatened to turn off the water supply. The EU is similarly powerless if the Russsians choose to turn off their gas supply. Thank God we do not have an EU army. It would be worse than useless.

Ukraine has brought home the political reality of the EU' s powerlessness. The US, Russia and China call the shots in their respective spheres of influence and in things like carbon dioxide production rule the whole globe. Please Rumpy, Frumpy and Barroso get real.
