and fast forward in 38 nins to watch Crowther's bumbling inept performance. Its a while since I have seen Crowther. I first met him when I was on the NEC and he was trying to suck up to me. I gave him the bum's rush as I don't like onvious sycophancy so he found someone else who likes sycophants sucking up to him all the time viz N Farage. He was on today with Liam Fox who could scarcely keep a straight face at some of Crowther's inane comments. The BBC strap line said Crowther had been elected party chairman in 2010. Completely untrue. Crowrher was appointed by Farage to succeed another Farage syco appointee P Nuttall. Crowther however manages to make Nuttall look like a political genius something I would have said was impossible until I heard Crowther.
Crowther was caught out time and time again by mild mannered David Garmston and even the guest Romanian ran rings round him! I now understand why UKIP fields their deputy chairman Suzanne Evans as much as possible for TV shows and keeps Crowther out of sight. Now la Evans main tactic is to grin inanely, obviously copying Tony Blair, and gets caught out frequently on the statements of the great leader. UKIP should produce a little red book, the latest policies of Nigel Farage, update it every evening and email it to la Evans each night as compulsory bed time reading. Its important to keep up to date with Nigel's every changing views. He is a true political weather vane.
Evans has one obvious advantage, she is a presentable looking lady. Crowther looks like a wild and wooly Lib Dem and is even more as confused than the average LibDem. He could not even give a clear concise answer when asked what is the difference beween UKIP and the Tories. He waffled on and failed to answer a very easy question.
Liam Fox was as always very good, concise nd clear and made mincemeat of Crowther. UKIP have to ditch Crowther asap as chairman or face even more car crashes like today's which will cripple their electoral efforts this May.

Cameron's big immigration speech
I thought this was a well judged balanced address appealing to both the Tory sceptics and pointing out a few home truths to the Brussels bureaucracy and appealing to Mutti Merkel but making no commitments. Indeed the young fogey, Rees Mog opined the speech had been sent to Mutti for approval befored the JCB delivery. Going for in-work benefits was a no brainer. Anything more would have been vetoed by the EU, anything less would have inflamed the Tory sceptics that sit behind him.
So he has talked the talk but can he walk the walk and deliver on his 4 year no benefits for migrants pledge. My former BoE colleague got a real pasting on the AN show on one simple question from the Sun's political editor Tom Newton Dunn, "How will you actually deport those EU immigrants who have not found a job in the allotted 6 months?". Collapse of Hancock!. Oh dear , he cannot answet a simple practical question but is so desperate to keep in with the whips he will do anything they ask.
The devil is in the simple practical detail! Oborne emphasised this in his brief piece in the Daily Mail online today.
"Today he (Cameron) tried to sell the Gaullist vision of a Europe of sovereign states collaborating in a common endeavour. This vision involves compromise, endless attention to detail, and an ability to build alliances across Europe. On the basis of Mr Cameron’s speech this morning, I now believe he is capable of selling the Eurosceptic case to the rest of the EU and winning. He is a most formidable politician."
Well I don't know about the Gaullist bit and I would describe him as slippery rather than formidable and like all our LibLabCon politicians does not do detail but he has started to pull the rug from under UKIP and has made things a lot more difficult for Farage. Cams other great edge is he has a lot of able politicians round him. You could never call Nuttall, Arnott or Seymour politically able and that's only the three I know personally from 5 years ago. I am sure the new intake of UKIP MEPs has many of similar intellectual standing. Unless Carswell, Reckless & O'Flynn take charge of UKIP's campaign quickly 5 May 2015 might turn into 18 June 1815 revisiited for Napoleon Farage and his Old Guard. Merde!.
The one who does detail very well is Alex Salmond. Last night on the AN This Week show Alex ran rings round Portillo who was close to losing it at the the end. Portillo prides himself on his mastery of precision and detail but met his better last night. Dianne Abbott who is quite close to Alex politically and was sat next to Portillo enjoyed the demolition of Portillo immensely. At the end when AN asked Alex about his future plans he said he was not sure but he could always make TV programmes about boring railway journeys. Woo, woo!

Why are our politicians so stupid?
Chris Huhne: career destroyed because he was stupid enough to lie about who was driving his car when it was clocked by a speed camera.
Aidan Burley: career destroyed because he was stupid enough to go to a stag party where a guest was dressed as a Nazi.
Patrick Mercer: career destroyed because he was stupid enough to fall for a sting by reporters posing as dodgy lobbyists.
Maria Miller: career destroyed because she was stupid enough not to show contrition for a row about her expenses.
Brooks Newmark: career destroyed because he was stupid enough to send compromising pictures of himself to people he didn’t know over the internet.
Emily Thornberry: career destroyed because she was stupid enough to post a disparaging tweet about a voter and now
Andrew Mitchell career destroyed by his failed libel case

Three former cabinet ministers plus a shadow cabinet minster. The creme de la creme of our political elite. I cry for our country ruled by these people.
Immigration figures do not tally with National Insurance Nos
I quote from Guido
- National Insurance Number (NINo) registrations to adult overseas nationals increased by 12% to 668,000 in the year ending September 2014 from the previous year. Romanian citizens had the highest number of registrations (104,000), followed by Polish citizens (98,000).
- 32,000 Romanian and Bulgarian citizens immigrated last year, a statistically significant increase from 18,000 in the previous 12 months.
Why does each Romanian need 3+ NI numbers? Something for the Rolls Royce minds of HMT to ponder.

UKIP to put Red Ed into No 10. More from Emily Thornberry
The latest ITV Comres poll of the marginals shows:
This is based on 40 closest marginals where Labour & Tory were neck and neck in 2010 but now Labour has a 8% lead.
ITV report in these seats twice as many Tory voters would switch to UKIP (21%) as Labour voters (10%) So UKIPcould change result.
Interesting that Gudo reports UKIP press lady, the one who sponsors a child in Ghana according to NF, was seen talking today with Labour press man. Something is going on.
ITV poll also reports in these seats 36% prefer Tory govt, 41% prefer Labour. But OPPOSITE for Prime Minister: 44% prefer Cameron as PM, 26% Miliband as PM.
Marginal seats are a result of our corrupt electoral system and means the government is decided by 50000 swng voters in these constituencies so no wonder we get crap governments as the head honchos sit in their safe seats whilst the whole political agenda is tailored to those 50000 voters.
Guido has a great story about Emily Thornberry's QC father in law. (This is presumably what Alan A. J. Johnston meads by social mobility.)
I quote from Gfuido

Emily Thornberry has silenced her eminent father-in-law from speaking out to the press about Ed Miliband and the White Van Dan row. After Edward Nugee was contacted by a diarist from the Daily Mail, Thornberry called the paper back threatening to report them to IPSO and claiming that her husband’s old man was non compos mentis.
For some context ‘Ted’ Nugee remains a practising QC and recently wrote at length to the Times about the legal intricacies concerning sanctions on Russia. But according to a raging Thornberry, the octogenarian was confused because he’s sick and ailing.
When the journalist then phoned Sir Ted to apologise, the QC denied anything of the sort and said he was jolly cross at the suggestion. In fact Nugee Sr. later apologised to the journalist in question for causing them any trouble.

Owen Patterson looks like the real deal to get us out of the EU
Owen Patterson, non-OE, was sacked by Dave as Environment Sec to up the woman head count in his Old Etonian cabinet by appointing Liz Truss. Dave also sacked Michael Gove, non-OE, as Education Sec largely for the same reason to appoint Nicola Morgan who has obeyed the Education establishment Blob from her first day. Gove was a minister who was effective in raising school standards. Dave kept Gove in a semi-detached cabinet position as chief whip. Dominc Grieve, OE ,was removed as Attorney General. He abstained on Dave's same sex marriage bill, Wikipedia says of Grieve,
"On 22 November 2013 he was reported as stating politicians need to "wake up" to the issue of corruption in some minority communities [15] and that "corruption in parts of the Pakistani community is “endemic”".[16] Two days later he apologised and said he had not meant to suggest there was a 'particular problem in the Pakistani community' Its a pity when the Attorney General has to apolgise for telling the truth.
So Dave has lost 2.5 good guys for a couple of pretty useless women. Its unthinking prescription politics.
As I write I watch todays Daily Politics doing a straw poll on Farage's suitability to be PM. Overwhelmingly NF was described as a joke even by the blokes and given a 100% thumbs down by the women.
Cometh the hour cometh the man to get us out of the EU and that man is Patterson. Read the boiling frog & Richard North by clicking below,

Patterson is a serious politician. Farage is a Hartlepool monkey joke and is inreasingly recognised by the voters as such, watch today's Daily Politics. If Farage can lead us out of the EU then I will personally organise a petition to put a statue of him on the vacant plinth in Trafalgar Square.
To get us out will require an exercise in political coalition building. Nigel Farage does not do collegiate concensus building. He is a cult leader. It will also require a cogent policy platform. Nigel does not do policy, Finally it will require a huge management/logistic effort. Nigel doe not do management. He likes the flattery of unintelligent sycophants.
It all adds up to someone like Patterson to get us out of the EU,

More control freakery from Farage.
Who can forget Farage saddling UKIP with the useless Pearson as leader for the 2010 General Election. Head and shoulders above all other candidates said Nige on the Andrew Neil show. Forgot to mention Pearson had not bothered to read the UKIP election manifesto.
Well Nigel is at it again, click below to read it

“Within the party, women who have got the time and want to make the commitment to do it tend to do pretty well.”
"Ukip’s highest-profile female member is arguably MEP Diane James, who narrowly missed out on a Commons seat last year after she came second in the Eastleigh by‑election. She dramatically increased her party’s vote on a 19.3 per cent swing from the incumbent Liberal Democrats."
That's all true except Nigel does not want Mrs James he hopes he is warming the seat up for his apologist Suzanne Evans another joke candidate in the Pearson mold. Ask Michasel Portillo. I see a real bitch fight coming up.
Meanwhile Labour's answer to Hyacinth Bucket continues to pedal her bike. Truly we live in an obese age that is overwhelming the NHS. Nigel is not obese but I fear for his lungs and liver so maybe an heir apparent is no bad thing. Remember what happened to poor Isis in Downton Abbey. Maybe UKIP should get Julian Fellowes to write their next manifesto. He is very good at bumping characters off when they get near their sell by date..
I cannot resist posting this from Guido's web site with its devastating punch line at the end. I hope Guido does not sue me but it sums up what this woman is all about.
Snobby sacked Labour MP Emily Thornberry’s official title is Lady Nugee, by virtue of her marriage to the High Court Judge Sir Christopher Nugee. Some years ago, with him, Emily bought a small terraced house in her constituency when it was auctioned off by a local housing association – only as an investment, they lived in a far grander £3 million mansion elsewhere in Islington. In itself this was an unusual example of privatisation by a “socialist”…
An outraged constituent who was eventually evicted by the Housing Association claimed that he had come to her, his constituency MP, for help only to despair when she bought one of the privatised properties. It was all very embarrassing for Thornberry. The old man nailed his allegations to the door of the house she bought. Very Lutheran…
The row of terraced houses shared small gardens communally and for years neighbours’ young children had happily played together along the terrace’s back row of gardens. This irritated the new landlord Emily and she nagged, and nagged her neighbour next door to put up a fence. He was reluctant to do so because the gardens were tiny and he could see no harm being done by his two little girls riding their scooters along the row, they were only aged 3 and 5. In the end Emily had workmen build a giant fence down the middle to keep his children out. Emily’s now private garden went unused and became overgrown with weeds. How does Guido know this story is true?
They were his kids.

Mark Reckless shafted by Farage
Mark Reckless resigned as a Tory because he did not believe Cameron had any intention of delivering on his EU referendum promise. It was a brave, courageous and principled action and he followed it up by winning for UKIP in Rochester & Stroud last Thursday. Farage then shafted him by changing UKIP's immigration policy behind his back.
Mr Reckless tells the Times: "Until Nigel changed it on Wednesday, the policy of the party was everyone can stay for the transitional period, no doubt about that, that there would then be a permanent arrangement which would be part of the EU negotiation."
Mr Reckless is rightly furious about being set up by Farage but to those of us who know Farage this is the latest in a long list of such incidents. The whole sorry tale can be read by clicking the link below.

The idiotic grinning UKIP deputy chairman and Farage sycophant Suzanne Evans made a fool of herself on Andrew Neil's This Week politics shop on Thursday by trying to make black white. Evans tried to maintain Farage was supporting Reckless but Portillo was having none of her guff and could scarcely concealed his amusement at her incompetence.. His quote was " Farage slapped down Reckless callling him an incompetent by-election candidate" and when Evans tried to deny this Portillo simply told her that is exactly what Farage did say.
This is not the first time Evans has made a fool of herself on TV trying to defend Farage's indefensible policy changes announced on the hoof and without discussion when he gets into difficulties with his TV interviews. He is prepared to sacrifice anyone to save his political skin.
I did opine last week that it would not be long before Carswell and Reckless fell out with Farage. Even I did not think it would come so soon! Only the sycophants and gullible survive long at the Court of King Nigel and Carswell & Reckless are certainly not gullible or Farage sycophants. O'Flynn suffered similarly recently and did not like it. These three clever men are elected representives. They simply will not take this nonsense from Farage and his sycos. They don't like being made to look idiots by fools!

Emily Thornberry - Hypocrite
The first time I saw this woman, also known as Lady Nugee, on TV I felt there was something did not ring true about her. I heard Alan Johnson defend her last night on the Andrew Neil show saying she came from a very poor background, had been raised in a council house and rose up to be a barrister and epitomised social mobility. All this went unchallenged by AN but trusting my instincts I had a look at what Google/Wikepedia had to say about the lady.
Wikipedia says about her,
"Thornberry was born in north Surrey to Cedric Thornberry, a Visiting Professor of War Studies at King's College London, and his wife Sally Thornberry, a teacher.[2] Her parents divorced when Thornberry was aged seven and she and her two brothers lived with her mother who later became a Labour Councillor and Mayor.[3] Her father went on to become United Nations Assistant Secretary General and to work for NATO.[4]"
Ho-hum so daddy was a professor at Kings London and mummy was a school teacher who went on to become a Mayor. If that's social mobility Mr Johnson then I'm a postman!
It gets worse when you find out she sends her children to selective schools 10 miles or so from her mansion like those oher darlings of the left, Hettie Harman and Diane Abbott. Again from Wikipedia
In April 2005 it emerged that Thornberry had sent her son to the selective Dame Alice Owen's School fourteen miles away from her home and outside her constituency. The school was formerly based in Islington and still reserves ten percent of its places for Islington pupils.[54] The Labour Party opposes selection and Thornberry was widely criticised over the issue as a result.[55] Chris Woodhead, the former chief inspector of schools stated "I celebrate her good sense as a parent and deplore her hypocrisy as a politician. When will those who espouse the virtues of comprehensive education apply the logic of their political message to their children?"
Thornberry's daughter now also attends the same school.[57] She defended her position by stating she felt the school should not have moved from its original location. Incredible!
You know how Labour opposes the sell off of council houses. Well guess who has been buying them up and renting them out, not Mrs Nuggee but Mr Sir Nugee, High Court judge. Again from Wikipedia
During the course of a campaign run by Thornberry on the subject of social housing, the Islington Tribune, a local newspaper, discovered that her husband had bought ex-social housing stock for over half a million pounds and receives rental income from the property. It also emerged that the new residents are Labour Party activists.
Its the old Labour elite story, rules apply to the ordinary people not the Labour elite. I can put up with Tory toffs like Dave & Rees Mogg but I cannot abide Labour hyopcrites like Thornberry & Harman who make a fat living out of 'representing' the poorest in our society whilst feathering heir own nest. If Milliband had any guts he would kick the pair of them out of the Labour party and tell postie Johnson not to believe all his colleagues tell him.
As Tory Home put it today:
So the mask has slipped. The sneering from the Islington dinner parties has been indiscreetly placed into the public domain. It recalls the General Election incident where Gordon Brown was caught describing Gillian Duffy a bigot.

Steven Woolf does well on today's Daily Politics
Steven Woolf, UKIP's immigration spokesman, did an excellent job rebutting the incoherent views of Tory woman Leadsom and Labour woman Reynolds. He was clear, balanced and sympathetic to EU immmigrants who have put down roots in the UK
Reynolds is flogging the phrase, "let me be absoluely clear", to death. She of course means the opposite. Leadsom is a ghastly tribal Tory woman Dave would be well shot off.
Today's PMQs is the usual waste of time with Cameron doing his Flashman act and Milliband his Mr Bean performance. If you want to see where tribalism leads watch PMQs.
The Daily Mail online has the best political story
They using the same leaflets as Reckless. Will they jump? Wait & see.
UKIP must attack on the repatriation issue. If the UK leaves the EU will the EU seek to deport UK citizens currently living, working retired in the EU?. This scare has been run many times by the Europhile political elite. UK citizens deserve an answer from Juncker etc

Three more Conservative MPs poll their voters on leaving the EU... just like Reckless and Carswell did before defecting to Ukip
- Peter Bone, Philip Hollobone and Martin Vickers carrying out local ballots
- They are canvassing constituents on whether Britain should leave the EU
- Douglas Carswell and Mark Reckless carried out polls before defecting
- All three deny they are planning to leave the Conservatives for Ukip

UKIP Cabal moves to remove O'Flynn as UKIP economics spokesman
Patrick O'Flynn, Carswell and Reckless are easily the ablest members of UKIP's new intake. They far outshine the Fuerher and his sycophants like Nuttall so it comes as no surprise to me to find rumours now afoot to remove O'Flynn as UKIP's economics spokesman following his interview on Newsnight where he was so frequently interrupted by Evan Davis that we heard more of Davis's BBC pro EU line than we heard of O'Flynn's views on the unhealthy cosy relationship between big business and the EU. Click below to see it for yourself:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G6LeuAQW__4
In the interview he called for higher taxes on big business which hides its profits in Junckerland tax avoidance schemes. You can read the wrath of UKIP's Colonel Blimps on this patently decent suggestion by clicking below
http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-London/2014/11/17/Moves-To-Remove-OFlynn-After-Anti-Business-Newsnight-Interview/
I cannot resist a couple of quotes from this piece:
"He really does need to shut up with all talk of aggressive tax avoidance and bashing big business... It's a real mistake to have a pinko in such an important position."
Pinko, now that is unfortunately the authentic voice of UKIP!
"O'Flynn is widely seen as the standard bearer of the left of UKIP leading to “mutterings” against him. ... the “Wag Tax” and caused so much embarrassment that Nigel Farage personally ticked off O'Flynn, and publicly distanced himself from the policy."
It did not take Farage long to fall out with O'Flynn as I previously opined.
Oborne has written today defending O'Flynn in a DT piece entitled:

The contradictions between Ukip's Left and the Right threaten to tear the party apart.

O'Flynn had spoken of his ideas in his UKIP conference speech 6 weeks previously. Again I quote from Oborne
"There are two key elements of Mr O’Flynn’s speech. On the one hand, Mr O’Flynn advocated sharply raising income tax thresholds, so that middle earners did not come into the top rate of tax. This idea was promptly copied by David Cameron in his speech in Manchester the following week. Mr O’Flynn’s second idea was a tax on luxury goods, the so-called “Wag tax”. However, Ukip’s Right wing got hold of Nigel Farage immediately after Mr O’Flynn’s speech and forced the Ukip leader to distance himself from his economic spokesman."
and
"Mr O’Flynn’s emergence as a senior figure within the party has coincided with an exponential growth of party support amongst working-class voters, especially in the Midlands and the North."
There is now no doubt in my mind that Farage has to go as leader for UKIP to move on to real general election success. He is not up to it and his past is rapidly catching up with him. O'Flynn and Mras James are clean skins. They are UKIP's future. Farage is its past so take your seat on the red leather Nigel and depart and leave it to more able men and women than you to lead UKIP on to greater heights.

Political tectonic plates are shifting
Peter Hitchens has penned an excellent piece in the Mail today click below to read it
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2836143/Anger-apathy-glory-old-England-vote-change-forever-Modern-England-comes-shock-Westminster-persons-writes-PETER-HITCHENS.html
His thesis is the increasing disconnect between ordinary people and the political class. I quote,
"Modern England comes as a shock to most Westminster persons. The former Tory MP Matthew Parris was so appalled when he visited Clacton that the resulting article was used in Ukip propaganda in the by-election there. Mr Parris appeared to be looking down a very long nose indeed at that town’s people and their lives. It didn’t seem to cross his mind that he – as a politician, broadcaster and influential journalist – might have helped to make it like that."
We do not have elected MPs chosen by the ordinary people. We are offered a choice between those selected bya small group of people, the constituency parties selection committees which can be fewer than 10 or in UKIP's case one, Nigel Farage. It is scarcely surprising that the electorate feel these PPCs are aliens from another planet.
I had hoped that we might see more US style primaries like the one in Totnes where voters of alll parties selected Dr Sarah Woolaston as Tory candidate in preference to the three party hacks on offer. Funny neither Labour, Tory or UKIP have been anxious to repeat this daring reform despite Dr Woolaston proving to be an excellent MP.
John Rentoul also wrote today on the rise of the Greens who are proving as big a threat to Labour in England as UKIP is to the Tories. The Greens are as far to the left of Miiliband's Labour party as UKIP is to the right of Camerons Tories. (The Lib Dems are finished and not worth discussing.) .Click below to read it
http://www.independent.co.uk/voices/comment/a-green-threat-to-labour-waits-in-the-wings-9863265.html
He points out that the Greens are isually not reported as a seperate party in the opinion polls but they are the anti-Milliband party just as UKIP is the anti- Cameron party. They are both protest vote parties. If there is to be a leaders debate the Greens should be included. The ScotNats as a non-national party of course wont be there in the England debate but if there is a Scottish debate they will certainly be included. There has also been a big surge in Green party membership. That is good for our democracy.
And what of Fuerher Farage? He has hired a dodgy Yank called Raheem Kassam. Click below to read about him.

I cannot better quoting Godders from this piece,
‘This typifies the triumph of style over substance in the party – hiring flash gurus purely for effect. Where are our policies? We are now as bad as all the other parties.''
Exactly. Its just like the end of Animal Farm when the old political elite came to play cards with the new rulers of Animal Farm the pigs and fell out over who was cheating. The animals, that's you and me, looked from men to pigs and pigs to men and they both looked the same!

Farage's aggressve tax avoidance
There is now no doubt in my mind that the establishment, UK & EU, is out to nail Farage. On 3rd April the Guardian published a piece entitled, "Nigel Farage uses private company to reduce tax bill" This is not illegal but it is not an option open to ordinary citizens as it requires setting up a limited liability company with audited accounts etc. It is widely used by media people to reduce their tax bill. Farage of course regards himself as a media star and has nothing in common with Joe Public. Read the Guardian piece by clicking below:
Nigel Farage uses private company to reduce tax bill
Now the ex-Belgian PM Guy Verhofstadt has weighed in, pay back for Farage's ill mannered attack on his fellow Belgian van Rumpoy which went big on Youtube. Farage is vindictive and never forgets slights eg Denny's recent deselection. Don't buy Farage's favourite tale that he had nothing to do with NEC decisions. Nothing happens in UKIP without Farage's say so. He is going to find out that many politicians share his vindicitive haracteristics and they will have their pay back sooner or later.

Farage expounds his latest election losing ideas
The SNP almost won their referendum by portraying themselves as the party of the NHS. So what does Farage do? He makes speeches about privatising the NHS the best liked institution in the land. That's what Farage calls professional politics. I call it stupidity.
He was on safer ground calling for the BBC, now a disliked organisation to be broken up. There are votes in that!
Labours take on this according to the Guardian:
He was on safer ground calling for the BBC, now a disliked organisation to be broken up. There are votes in that!
Labours take on this according to the Guardian:
Andy Burnham MP, the shadow health secretary, said: “Nigel Farage poses as a man of the people, but his views on the NHS are out of step with 99% of the public.
“Farage can drink as many pints as he likes, but he’ll never be able to distance himself from these views that would go down like a lead balloon in pubs and clubs across the land.
“It is now plain for all to see that a vote for Ukip is a vote for the privatisation of the NHS.”
So Farage alienated the Tory Waverers yesterday with his talk of propping up Red Ed and today he is alienating the Labour lot with talk of privatising the NHS.
It all reminds me of the time Pat Minford tried to sell this idea on a Birkenhead housing estate and was almost lynched. Good economics but political suicide.

Farage does not have to say anything to win big just like Tony in 1997.

Farage confirms vote UKIP get Milliband
Remember that Tory chant, well Nigel the idiot has just confirmed it in an interview with the New Statesman reproduced by Guido today which I give below:
Makes a change from a bar, but the UKIP leader says he will prop up a Miliband government. In an interview with the Staggers, Farage is very clear:
Farage has just show his naivety and stupidty for the whole world to see. It will cost UKIP hundreds of thousands of TOry votes. Cameron and the Tories will repeat this every day from now until 6th May 2015.
He might well have lost Reckless the Rochester by-election. With a leader like Farage who needs enemies?

NOVEMBER 12TH, 2014
RED UKIP: Farage Claims He Will Prop Up Miliband
Makes a change from a bar, but the UKIP leader says he will prop up a Miliband government. In an interview with the Staggers, Farage is very clear:
Jason Cowley “Would you go into coalition with Labour?”A strategic error from Farage that will play into the hands of CCHQ. What was the one about voting for Farage and getting Miliband…
Nigel Farage “I’d do a deal with the Devil if it got me what I wanted.”
JC If Miliband said to you, “Look, Nigel, can I have your eight to ten MPs in the coalition and we give you an in-out referendum?” would that be enough?
NF That would depend when the referendum was, and the terms.
JC But you’re not ruling it out.
NF Of course not. There is no left and right any more. Left and right’s irrelevant.
JC So there could be a Ukip-Labour-Lib Dem rainbow coalition.
NF Sounds extremely unlikely.
JC Or a Ukip-Labour coalition.
NF Why coalition? There are other ways of doing things.
JC Tell me how. Confidence and supply?
NF Absolutely.
JC Would that suit you better?
NF To be honest, the way I look at it now, I can’t see Ukip wilfully going into formal coalition with anybody.
JC But you support Labour on confidence and supply . . .
NF Confidence motions and primary legislation of certain kinds, yes.
JC And because there’s no left and right, you’d be comfortable supporting Labour?
NF I’d be very comfortable supporting anybody that gave me an opportunity to get my country back.
He might well have lost Reckless the Rochester by-election. With a leader like Farage who needs enemies?

Nigel Farage reinforces David Cameron’s own anti-Ukip squeeze message
Nigel Farage has talked in the past about his readiness to prop up a Labour minority government – he gave an interview to the Sunday People in October in which he said the Labour leader would just have to offer a referendum and a deal would be possible.
But the fact that he has repeated it to the New Statesman this week is hardly helpful when his party is going head to head with the Tories in Rochester. His comments to Jason Cowley help David Cameron’s squeeze message, which is that if you vote Ukip, you get Miliband.
Ukip are trying to sound as though they don’t care that this is getting so much pick-up, with a party source saying:
‘They [the Tories] are the ones who want to do a deal with Labour! Just 24 hours ago the Prime Minister asked the people of Rochester to set up a deal with Labour, the Greens and the Conservatives to defeat Ukip.‘We don’t want to do deals with anybody, but we will do deals to get our country back. We would do a deal with the devil to get our country’s freedom back.’

Potential UKIP scandals on the increase.
In the good old days the Tories had sex scandals and Labour money scandals to keep the tabloid scribblers in a job but UKIP seem to have both! Well I suppose that enables them to compete on an equal footing in Labour and Tory seats.
Looking back at my recent scribblings there is the tale of Mr Batten & Ms Badzak. That must come into the money dispute area when and if it comes to court. It will then be widely reported and has the potential, as all these cases do, to damage UKIP's election efforts in 2015. Batten has worked hard for UKIP over many years and has a lot in common with UKIP's rank and file. The worst that can be said of Gerard is that he has shown poor judgement.
If you click on the links I gave in yesterday's blog you can read of the reported probable forthcoming divorce cases of Helmer and Legge. Both are likely to figure in some salacious tabloid reports. I have great sympathy with their wives but if you choose to go into public life and accept the EU's Euro then you must accept you will be held to higher standards than Joe Public and if you fall short you are fair game for the tabloids.
I have never regarded either of these men as worthy of being UKIP MEPs. I have met both and neither have anything in common with the ordinary membership of UKIP. The struck me as high Tories and in UKIP because there is less competition for elected ofice candidacy in UKIP than there is in the Tory party. Also the Tories have a strong tradition of local party democracy which the Cabal have stamped out in UKIP. In short, secure Farage's favour and you are in but in the Tories you have to satisfy a selection committee held in the open with minutes taken. Nigel seems not to like minutes or emails indeed even the NEC never saw any minutes of his de facto decision making political committee.
Both Helmer and Legge were endorsed by Farage as suitable candidates which made it very certain that the membership would 'select' these men as the UKIP candidate in their region.
Farage of course comes into both camps with the Ashford call centre runours and tales of Latvian pole dancers.
Homosexuals, both male and female, have been well represented in political life for many years but now are able to come out publically without fear of damaging their political careers. They are still hostage to their hormones as heterosexuals are. There are homosexual bars and clibs catering for their tastes just as many clubs and bars cater for heterosexual taste. The tabloids target both types of clubs/bars with their snappers on hand when tipped off that a figure in public life is there. UKIP take note its not just heterosexuals who can be the subject of kiss and tell stories. I expect however the more damaging kiss and tell UKIP stories to be of a heterosexual nature.
A good quote from Guido today
As Tom Watson once said, if you can’t take a kicking from Guido, then you don’t deserve to be in politics…

Divorce breaks out amongst UKIP MEPs
There is nothing the tabloids like better than a good spicy political divorce. UKIP I understand are going to serve up not one but two in the coming year! Will it measure up to NF's lap dancer adventures? Time will tell but it will certainly take the heat of tabloid scrutiny of Farage's extra mural activities and it keep UKIP in the headlines. All publicity is good publicity. Keep it up chaps or maybe keep it down.

Guido can reveal that a donor has gifted the party access to space in 4 Millbank for the party press operation in the run up to 2015.
4 Millbank is also home to the BBC, Sky News and ITV’s Westminster operations
It seems Farage decides he likes it so much on TV, he wants to live there.

EU Remembrance Day
On this day remember what it cost us in life and gold to be at the heart of Europe in 1914-18. I counted 1200 dead on my old school war memorial. In every village and hamlet in the land there is a similar monument. It was a war that we should never have got involved in. Worse it spawned the rise of Hitler and created the conditions fo WWII.
In 1914 if we had just left the French and Germans to fight it out would things have been any different to what they are today, a German dominated Europe? The UK would have been much richer and stronger than it is now as would Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the others who fought with us in 1914 in that terrible war.
What concerns me is that we are still ruled by the same public school elite that got us into WWI and were so incompetent in its exececution. We first lost in Afghanistan in 1837-40. Did we learn anything? Well the miltary brass, 100% public school, certainly did not and we have 453 bodies to prove it. I remember pointing out to one military gent who worked in Downing Street after we had gotten the Northern Alliance onside to 'defeat' the Taliban that Russians had just lost in Afghan with a ten times bigger, war hardened bettter equiped army than we had so why on earth did he think we could do better. The Taliban were not of course defeated and are now back big time. I also felt obliged to point out to him that it was the Russian Red Army that had defeated Hitler not the Brits Plus Yanks etc.
It was the same story in Iraq where the Yanks had to save the British Army surrounded in Basra. I did note in the First Gulf war with Stormin Norman running the show that his Chief of Staff was a Hearts supporter. Strange I thought. His name was Robert Johnston and he was then a Major General and retired a Lieutenant General. He came from the next road in the Edinburgh Council Estate on which I grew up. How many of our Army big wigs grew up on council estates? There were no playing fields of Eton there only the 'back green' where we played and our mothers dried the washing.
Another army Scot was Wullie Purves. I quote from his bio
Born in Kelso, Scotland, Purves attended Kelso High School before commenced training with The National Bank of Scotland (now The Royal Bank of Scotland) in 1948. This was interrupted by National Service in Korea, during which time he was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (DSO)[2] – the only National Service officer to have won this honour.[3]
He must have been terrific to get a DSO as a National Service man from a humble background. He also kept all his men alive during the action for which he was given the DSO. That is the sort of officer the squadies respect.
Our nation cannot progress until it becomes a more meritocratic less deferential society. The rank is but the guinea's stamp the mans the gowd for a' that.
Let us not be led into further European wars against Russia in the Ukraine by a Euro elite. Like Blair they will do very well out of the conflict whilst our sons and daughters do the dying.

Farage has a long track record of losing MEPs I expect this to continue with the mainly mediocre 2014 elected UKIP MEPs. I can see no reason things will be any dfifferent this time round indeed the process has probably started with his alliance with Polish MEP and holocaust denier Robert Iwaszkiewicz to get his hands on more EU money. Understandably the Board of Deputies of British Jews is upset about this man's views..
UKIP has gained a couple of good MEPs in Patrick O'Flynn and Steven Woolfe. The old guard Nuttall, Agnew, Legge etc however come into the mediocre Farage worshipping category.
I was therefore interested to read an interview O'Flynn gave this week to James Forsyth of the Spectator, click below to read it.

Like me, until I was not allowed back in, O'Flynn has never been a member of any political party before UKIP. This is a big plus point given the almost total dominance of dodgy ex-Tories now occupying UKIP's top slots.
He is saying all the things Farage loves to hear about himself, a genius, a strong leader with strong views, a loyalist. Its all very flattering and plays on Farage's huge weakness in that area including the old Farage chesnut, professionalising the party. The truth is Farage has to do very little at this stage as the fruit is falling into his lap. Indeed I would argue that apppearing unprofessional like BoJo plays very well right now with the voters.
He is warning off Carswell from trying to usurp Farage in articulating UKIP policy. UKIP only has room for one leading man is the quote. I do not think this can hold once Reckless gets back to Westminster. As Forsyth points out a parties' ploicy is determined by how its MPs vote in Westminster and Farage can do nothing about how UKIP MPs vote. Such votes are all recorded and are kept in the House of Commons library for future reference.
At the same time O'Flynn is distancing himself from Farage on the Polish fascist alliance and the UKIP calypso.
He also articulates some good ideas of his own that I have often put forward myself. His distrust of the views of large corporations. I agree. In City parlance they are talking their book but are given huge uncritical publicity by our Brussels Broadcasting Corporation. I also very much agree with his view that winning Westminster seats is far more important than getting a referendum which will be easy for HMG to manipulate.
He clearly has leadership ambitions, He says,"I would only stand if people convinced me I was the best person to take things on". Thats pure Jim Hacker! I doubt O'Flynn will take much convincing post the May General Election!
