What is the Electoral Commission for?

They make a cock up, their registration system breaks down with two hours to the dead line. Why can't they make a decision to open it up the next day for two hours and ask the government to sign it off? But no they abdicate their highly paid responsibility again, and pass the decision back to Matthew Hancock who is Gideon Osborne's creature  and as Cameron said the Government is not neutral in this referendum so you get an unfair partisan decision.

They are about as non-independent as Osborne's independent economists.
