Three great EU claims exploded

There are 3 great lies the Remoaners love to peddle: They are all the EU claiming credit for the achievement of others:

The EU has kept the peace in Europe since 1958, a. It was the US military might that has kept us at peace

EU invented workers rights and before the EU no one had any rights. I exploded this one in my blog of yesterday.

Graph below shows how the EU is a diminishing export market for us and explains why we should put our efforts into other faster growing markets. The EU market is of steadily diminishing importance to us.

What is more significant is we run a surplus with these non-EU markets and a huge deficit with the EU.

One picture is worth a thousand words

As I'm sure you, and your readers know Eric, the idea that "the EU" has had anything to do with peace in Europe is not just a despicable and desperate lie, perpetrated by "history teachers" no less!, it is outrageous bullshine.

The USA deployed nuclear bombs against Japan in 1945 - the only time in human history.

NATO was formed in 1948, and although they were reluctant to commit to first use of tactical (battlefield) nuclear weapons, the USA were not so shy. This link - from 2016 - proves that even in Obama's last days in office, the US was still committed -unilaterally - to first use.

NY Times article

The Common Market was founded in 1957 - and only had 6 members, including the recently disgraced Germany.

You would think, wouldn't you, that arch-Remainiacs so convinced that our place in the world is shackled to the moribund corpse of the EU, could develop better arguments. No wonder we won.
