He was on safer ground calling for the BBC, now a disliked organisation to be broken up. There are votes in that!
Labours take on this according to the Guardian:
Andy Burnham MP, the shadow health secretary, said: “Nigel Farage poses as a man of the people, but his views on the NHS are out of step with 99% of the public.
“Farage can drink as many pints as he likes, but he’ll never be able to distance himself from these views that would go down like a lead balloon in pubs and clubs across the land.
“It is now plain for all to see that a vote for Ukip is a vote for the privatisation of the NHS.”
So Farage alienated the Tory Waverers yesterday with his talk of propping up Red Ed and today he is alienating the Labour lot with talk of privatising the NHS.
It all reminds me of the time Pat Minford tried to sell this idea on a Birkenhead housing estate and was almost lynched. Good economics but political suicide.

Farage does not have to say anything to win big just like Tony in 1997.

Oh dear, a past instance of Farage engaging his big gob before his small brain has come back to to bite him on the bum. What's that old saying? "You can fool some people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time"....
Meanwhile, looks like another example of Farage's past is coming back to haunt him. He should be making real hay at the moment over the EU Commission President's difficulties on tax matters - the Luxleaks scandal - but his silence is deafening. Now why oh why could that be? It should be a golden moment for the anti-EU movement, but the Leader of UKIP is letting us down because his own hands are completely tied on such issues. If we were the only ones who had noticed, it would be frustrating for us but no more than a little uncomfortable for him. Unfortunately for him, the europhiles have noticed too:
Tweet from Guy Verhofstadt, Eurofanatic Liberal leader in European Parliament:
Today during debate #Luxleaks, I missed @Nigel_Farage, expert on tax evasion
https://twitter.com/GuyVerhofstadt/status/532622859295027200
And tweet from Annaliese Dodds, Labour MEP for South East:
Interesting Nigel Farage absent for debate on #LuxLeaks; as 1 speaker notes, he's got personal experience of Isle of Man tax arrangements!
https://twitter.com/AnnelieseDodds/status/532554617289441280
I thought someone might remember the Isle of Man account but I'd forgotten about the more recent story of Farage's tax dodge for his media appearances, which Verhofstadt has dug up again. So that's Farage vulnerable on this issue twice over. He's not fit for purpose.
Double Event,
Thank you for this very informative comment. I am short of Brussels sources/material just now so your contribution is doubly welcome.
I believe Farage visits the IOM once a year and its not for a holiday.
About 5 years ago I asked about where the media cash for appearances on QT went. The cabal tried to claim the BBC did not pay for these appearances. Complete bollocks!
Farage is in it for the dosh.
Feel free to post on my blog any time.
You are in denial as the SNP was soundly beaten in the referendum!!
Lets see how well you do Major in your Harrogate referendum
Major that was only the opening battle. The SNP will win and you can live on with your pipe dreams
But that is for the future the FACT is the SNP lost the referendum by a big margin.
