Always ask the stupid questions of our political and media elite

At Newport Rhode Island there are many yachts. A non Ivy league American was shown these by a shyster who said these are the broker's yachts. The hay seed  then asked the 'dumb' question, "Where are the speculators yachts? " There were of course no such things as the brokers had all the speculators  money.

Richard North writes a blog today on a similar theme concerning the prestigous media business and political elite pointing out the opinions of these groups are worth less than Joe Public's but they are widely reported by the BBC as solid truth. They are nothing of the kind.

He quotes Gustave le Bon who pointed out,

"the special characteristic of prestige is to prevent us seeing things as they are and to entirely paralyse our judgement. Crowds always, and individuals as a rule, stand in need of ready-made opinions on all subjects. The popularity of these opinions is independent of the measure of truth or error they contain, and is solely regulated by their prestige. "

Exactly!

Branson, Clarke etc come out with pure self serving drivel. Ask Branson Clarke how much their companies' make out of the EU. Ask university vice chancellors how much their institution gets from the EU. You will probaly not be told but if you don't ask you have no chance of finding out.

Then of course there is our wonderful EU phile media headed up by the Beeb, the finest jounalistic organisation in the world. How do I know this? Well the BBC never tire of telling us 24/7 how wonderful they are. What they don't tell us is how grossly overpaid and incompetent they are.

Ditto with our wonderful Royal family. Don't mention  Betty von Battenburg's three SS brothers in law!

Us outers are going to have a hard strugle to convince the populace they are being screwed.
