I wrote there that I thought the Oz captain Paine was a duff captain.who made poor review decisions which today cost the Aussies the match. His poor batting also handicaps his side. He should be dropped. Wade is a competent keeper and better batter than Paine. Time for the Oz management to act but will they?.
Sun Tzu wrote over 2000 years ago that battles are won and lost before the first blows are exchanged. Its the same with Ashes cricket. The Aussies lost when they dropped Smith as captain and picked Paine like they chose Johnston instead of Miller in 1956.Nice guys come last as the Donald will tell you.
Thank God we ditched May and switched to BoJo. He picks good competent assistants who at least give us a chance against Barnier

I had to read that twice because my first thought was "but we didn't ditch May... we stuck with him after we lost at Lord's and he went on to turn that '56 series around and captain England to victory". Yes, for one brief moment all thoughts of the "other" May were washed away by cricketing nostalgia. Then it all came flooding back... aaargh.
