The term fifth column was coined by Franco at the end of the Spanish Civil war when he had 4 columns besieging Madrid and was asked which one would capture the city. He replied it will be the one inside Madrid, his 5th column.
Thus it is with us today the forces inside our political elite, Hammond, Grieve and the other Tory MPs but also Labour MPs ties.the one my my wife calls little goody two shoes and Benn. Its the old story,the opposition is in front of you but your dangerous enemies are behind you.
We live in dangerous times but remember Franco was right in his prediction, it was the 5th column that won it for him..
