Remainers are targeting BoJo

This latest outbreak of  confected Muslim offence has of course nothing to do with what BoJo wrote about Muslim female attire. What Boris wrote was not to ban burkas as the Danes have just done. Our remainer media and political elite however are out to get Boris irrespective of the truth. Its a case of give a dog a bad name. I quote from Wikipedia :

Give a dog a bad name and hang him is an English proverb. Its meaning is that if a person's reputation has been besmirched, then he will suffer difficulty and hardship.

The reason they are doing this is they know if BoJo is elected leader of the Tories he will deliver the Brexit we voted for not May's mess of pottage with which she intends to sell our birthright. The Remainers know that Boris was the key factor in us getting Brexit and are now doing everything the can to stop his name going to Tory party members in the run off to be Tory leader. Worse they know Boris is very popular in the country as a whole and he will point to his success as London Mayor compared to the current failure that is Sadeq Khan.

The Tory remainers are the ones all calling for BoJo to apologise. He won't do that. Brandon Lewis and his chums are talentless pygmies compared to Boris. By also joining in this witch hunt May has natures her lack of spine and judgement and hastened the end of her administration. Good riddance to our worst PM ever.

Wikipedia:

mess of pottage is something immediately attractive but of little value taken foolishly and carelessly in exchange for something more distant and perhaps less tangible but immensely more valuable.

Hopefully I qualify as somebody who has actively pursued and supported Brexit, even before it had a name such as Brexit.
However I think Boris Johnson was wrong to make the comment and therefore unfit for leadership. Sorry.
I agree with Boris that the UK should not ban in the same way as Denmark has done. However the issue of security, identification and verbally communicating by allowing facial expressions to be seen has to be promoted somehow.
